1,000+ of organisms3 landscapes

1,000+ of organisms

Thousands of plant species, microbes, insects and aquatic animals help sustain the landscapes and ecosystems that make these earbuds possible.

plants: wetland plants and freshwater algae

purpose: plants turn sunlight, water and soil nutrients into living growth.

microorganisms: freshwater bacteria, protozoa and microscopic algae

purpose: microorganisms break down organic matter and recycle nutrients.

insects: aquatic insect larvae

purpose: insects pollinate plants, recycle organic matter and control pests.

aquatic animals: fish, frogs, salamanders and freshwater reptiles

purpose: aquatic animals move nutrients through freshwater food webs and regulate insect and algae populations.

3 landscapes

Three different landscapes make these earbuds possible. We are constantly taking in nature in our everyday items.

mineral-rich mountains: provides lithium, cobalt, copper, speaker metals and rare-earth magnets.

sand-rich landscapes: provides high-purity quartz used in wireless and audio chips.

freshwater systems: provides water used in battery, electronics and final assembly processes.
